STAGE

plaster, jute weave, textile, wood glue. 2020.

In this piece I originated from Sara Ahmed’s theories on tables. I’ve titled the work STAGE, to underline how the table becomes a place, where various roles within a collective such as an household, are co-creating a show. Through this work, I hope to make this image visible, and to create conversations about the questions it poses. The tablecloth is sculpted in plaster, re-inforced with jute weave and free standing.
