BÄRA KNIV / TO CARRY KNIFE
carved wood, stain. 2018.
The household as a collective place wherein we sustain the shape or form of social norms and structures that holds us captured in given roles. To be seated at a table as to be given a role. The chair at the dining table as the role we didn’t choose; to be gentle, soft and nonviolent. The sculpture speaks of the attempt of breaking that pattern and as an action of defense, destroying it.
